I've been here exactly one week, and, already, I can tell it's going to be hard to say goodbye to my friends here when I leave in December. Tonight, Christian Union (the on-campus ministry I've been going to) had an acoustic night at a coffee shop in town, and, afterward, some of us watched a movie at my friend Dave's apartment. Tomorrow, my friend Katherine and I are going to get together to bake for the next CU event. These aren't particularly exciting adventures, but they mean a lot to me. My new friends make Coventry feel like home even though I'm SO far away from my real home.
So, the goodbyes will be bittersweet. I guess those are the best goodbyes you can have, though. It means you're grateful for the experiences you've had and the people you'll miss, AND it means you're looking forward to what's next. In any case, I still have two and a half months left, and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it.

Yup ... and this makes me think of one of my favorite sayings: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" -- Dr. Seuss.
Have fun!!
Love,
Mom
I know a few jerks in Great Britain. I'll send them your way to making the leaving less painful.
Miss you!
Love you!
Praying for you!
